OUR VISION

S.B.M. Teachers’ Training College seeks to embody Swami Vivekananda’s holistic philosophy of education, nurturing confident, competent, and value-oriented pupil-teachers capable of guiding and mentoring future generations.

To develop strong character rooted in moral, ethical, and spiritual values.

To promote inclusive and mass education, with special focus on the underprivileged sections of society, enabling their integration into the educational mainstream.

To provide personalized and holistic teacher education through Integral Pedagogy—Context, Experience, Reflection, Action, and Evaluation.

To prepare intellectually sound, morally upright, socially responsible, and spiritually inspired teachers.

To ensure the all-round development of pupil-teachers—intellectual, cultural, social, emotional, physical, aesthetic, moral, and spiritual.

OUR MISSION

S.B.M. Teachers’ Training College is inspired by the missionary zeal of Swami Tapananda Ji Maharaj, whose vision was shaped by the ideals of Swami Vivekananda and his revered Guru Swami Himangshu Maharaj. The institution was established to respond to the growing need for quality teacher education supported by modern facilities and innovative practices. As a part of this mission, the College is committed to empowering future teachers with contemporary pedagogical skills, ethical values, and professional competence, enabling them to become effective educators and responsible nation-builders.

AIMS & OBJECTIVE

The college aims at personalized training of young men and women through Integral Pedagogy – Context, Experience, Reflection, Action and Evaluation –to be well motivated teachers who would be intellectually competent, morally upright, socially committed and spiritually inspired.
It is the aim of the college that the students who take their training here become well-formed guides with human qualities (pupil-teachers with human touch). The college, therefore, offers an all-round training, one that is at once intellectual, cultural, social, emotional, physical, aesthetic, moral and spiritual.
The college further aims at promoting values such as respect for Indian common cultural heritage, egalitarianism, democracy, secularism, national unity, respect for religious and moral values gender equality, environment protection, removal of social barriers, responsible use of cybernetics & mass media, transparency and probity in private and public life.
